I thought I might not have to use my oil blotting sheets if I used this product. I still do, but not quite as many. My face gets oily in about 4 hours, before it was more like 2. I use it out of necessity. But when this runs out, I`ll be shopping for a better product.
Pros: lightweight gel. Goes on clean, not greasy.
Cons: Doesn't prevent me from using my oil blotting sheets-they are still necessary.

My skin has been excessively oily for 40years,and this product is good!I have to apply more to get more ``sponges`` on my skin than most people in order to make the entire day but it works!
Pros: It helps keep the oil from running into my eyes mid-day, my pores stay cleaner, makeup seems to set better.
Cons: It is hard to find, it is relatively spendy. I wonder if it is going to be discontinued because it is hard to find.

LOVE IT! A VERY good product. My skin is terribly oily. I was using powder and blotting tissue every two hours before I found this gel. Well worth the $$$. I`ve been using the mattifying gel for several months now and never will be without it.
Pros: #1 - It works!

Great product to control the production of oil. Does a good job for most of the day. Could make some people`s skin clearer, depending, . . . though not a guarantee, . . .just seems to be that way for me.
Pros: Oil control and long lasting.
Cons: A little pricey. A small "con", though.

I have had EXTREMELY oily skin for about ten years now... within an hour of wiping my face with a couple ``clean and clear`` oil absorbing sheets my face already looks like it is completely covered in a layer of grease. Although I`ve been to a dermatologist since I was about 11 years old, I went to a different location recently specifically because I knew that they offered this product at their location. I was so excited to try this product, hoping that it would keep my face matte-looking, but within a couple hours, it is extremely shiny again. I tried it for a few months to give it a fair shot. It did control the oiliness a tiny bit, but for the most part, I feel like I wasted my money and a trip to a dermatologist.
Pros: minimum shine control
Cons: not worth the money or hype

Pros: My skin looked oil free and better than ever, but only for a short time. I have excessively oily skin and believe it or not I am 58 yrs. old. I am still looking for a product that will last for at least 8 hours. OC lasts at most 3 hours.

I am a balding man with a shiny forehead. I love this product! In fact, I would be devastated if it were ever discontinued. It enables me to eliminate the shiny forehead for hours.
Pros: It works and is easy to apply. One tube lasts me several months and so the price is really reasonable when looking at it this way.
Cons: None.

I`ve tried many mattifying products, and so far this one is the best I`ve come across.
Pros: Great performance! Unlike some other products, this one has a thicker texture, allowing you to use much less product--great value, as a little goes a long way.
Cons: The only con, and this is stretching, is that when applied, the product has a slightly medicinal fragrance.

This is a lifesaver! I have an oily t-zone and I used to have to blot a couple times an hour to keep from shining. I now use oc eight everyday and I can make it past lunchtime with no shine! I love, love, love this stuff and don`t know how I went without it! Plus if I use a little on my eyelid, my eye makeup stays in place all day--no smudged eyeliner!
Pros: Everything!
Cons: The only thing I dislike is the ease of obtaining oc eight. The dermatologist that carries this is 30 minutes away, so I can rarely make it during the work week. This means I have to end up ordering online...which means extra money for shipping. Plus, I have to order before well before I run out since it takes several day to arrive.

Love this product!! It is very lightweight,not at all greasy like some others that I have tried and you only need a very small amount. I onlt ``touch up`` with powder once a day now instead of the several times that I used to do.

I absolutely love this product. I have passed around my tube to 4 others who wanted to try it based on how much I loved it. We all love it. Now everyone has gotten their own. It really works. My teenager used it first one morning. In the afternoon I picked her. None of the usual face shine. Get it. It really works.

I used to use Ferndale OC Gel and was disappointed when they stopped making it. When I found that they replaced it with OC8, I cas really happy.
Pros: I like the matte finish because my skin is oily and tends to start shining too much by the end of the day. The oil control is fantastic. I never feel that my face is oily. It washes away nicely and you can feel the oil being washed away with the product.

I have an extremely oily face. Most over-the-counter remedies are useless. This is one thing every oily person should have in their arsenal.
Pros: It mattifies instantly.
Cons: You have to be *very* careful in putting liquid makeup over it. Powder base is best. It can be a little drying if your face is already dry.

This is the best mattifying product ever! You apply in the morning and your face stays matte all day. Only thing is during the extreme humid days of summer where I live you might have to re-apply once around lunch time.

Cons: The packaging. When you run out it seems like there is still some of the product in the bottle that doesn't come out.

I had high hopes for OC Eight Mattifying Gel and ended up disappointed.
Pros: Goes on invisibly and easily.
Cons: I had oily looking skin after a few hours, even with OC Eight. I get similar results with other mattifying products.

I have extremely overactive oil glands and this is the ONLY mattifier that actually works for me! I have try many kinds and none begin to compare. This one also doesn`t leave white streaks on your face like many others do and it`s non-drying! It`s a miracle product! If they ever stop making it - I`m in trouble.
Pros: I like everything about this product!
Cons: There is nothing I dislike about this product.
